Career Profile - Scott Major  
 

In an accomplished career spanning over sixteen years, actor, Scott Major has developed a reputation for excellence in his profession and in the process has become a firm favourite of Australian television and film.

 
His journey began in 1988, when at the age of thirteen the precocious teenager won a part in ABC kid’s show. “His Masters Ghost”. His reputation grew, as he became a familiar face on television with regular roles in Australian sitcoms, “Late for School” and “Neighbours”
 
The big screen beckoned and Scott was offered a significant role in the film, “Heartbreak Kid”. His performance received praise from critics and filmgoers alike and brought him to the attention of producer Ben Gannon who was searching for young talent to star in his next project, an Australian high-school drama called “Heartbreak High”.
   
Scott starred as one of the main characters of the show, bad boy, ‘Peter Rivers’. Thanks to the strong performances of the central characters and the gripping storylines, the show became a huge success, both domestically and internationally. As a testament to Heartbreak High’s popularity it continues to be shown in many countries around the world today.

The recognition gained from Heartbreak High, provided Scott with the platform to develop his talent further with a number of major roles in popular Australian dramas, namely, Cody, Police Rescue, G.P., Blue Heelers, Good Guys Bad Guys, Home and Away and Wildside.

It was not long until Scott graced the silver screen again in the critically acclaimed feature film, ‘Envy’. The film was applauded at film festivals around the globe, including Toronto International Festival and Festival De Cannes. Other film credits include parts in ‘He Died With A Falafel In His Hand’ and ‘Ned’.
 
His most current credit was playing the innocent farm boy ‘Tom Morgan’ in the record breaking Australian series ‘Always Greener’.

Scott is currently residing in the U.K. where he is developing a number of film and theatre projects. The BBC has been quick to utilise Scott’s talents in locally produced dramas, such as appearances on the popular daytime soap, “Doctors”.
